I have had a fascination and love for the west cost for a while now with that interest peaking while studying the history of photography in school.  In the early 1900’s New York was where art was happening with Stieglitz and his gallery, but across the county there was Group f/64.  This was a group of modernist photographers that I won’t go into detail in this blog, but I highly recommend everyone looks up the work created by these photographers.  This is what has inspired the series of images below.

This is something very different from my usual work with the absent of people.  I tried to capture the beauty of Phoenix and the south west with the eyes of an east coast southerner.
